School Meal Menu
Children in FS2/KS1 (Infants) are entitled to free school meals and can select an option from the menu daily. Please note, the menus below will be in use until January 2018. The cost of a school meal for children in KS2 (Juniors) is £2 a day and cash or cheque payments for school meals should be put in a sealed and labelled envelope either in your child’s classroom or brought to the school office. You can also pay online via the SIMS Agora online payment system (see below for more information).
Pupils can also attend our Breakfast Club accompanied if they are in the Infants or unaccompanied if they are in the Juniors (the menu is available to download below). You can also find details of additional childcare options at the bottom of this page.
Admission to Malin Bridge Primary
Often, because our admission number is 75 children per year, we can accommodate all of the children who would like to come to Malin Bridge Primary School.
Where the Admissions Authority receives more applications than there are places at a school, however, it has a criteria for prioritising the applications to determine which applicants will be eligible for a school place.

Under the terms of the Education Reform Act 1988, schools are not allowed to charge for activities offered to pupils during the school day, though the school may ask for voluntary contributions.
If your child’s class is involved in an educational visit, parents will be asked if they are prepared to make a voluntary contribution. It will be made clear whether the visit is dependent upon voluntary contributions being made.
If the visit takes place, all children in the class will go, whether or not the parents have made a voluntary contribution.

Having a uniform removes the distractions that come from children wearing different types of clothes, makes decisions about what to wear more straight forward for everyone and re-enforces the sense of purpose that every school needs.
We want to stress that being ‘in school uniform’ does not require clothing which contains a school logo, however we continue to sell school uniform via the school office. Should you wish to order any item, you can download a school uniform order form and hand it in at school.
Our school uniform is now also available to purchase online directly from our suppliers, LOGO Leisurewear.
We strongly recommend that parents and carers do not take children out of school in term time as this can have an impact on their progress and achievement. If you wish to request term time leave, download or request and complete a Request for Exceptional Term-Time Leave form. One form needs to be completed per child at least twenty school days in advance of any leave.

We have before school and after school childcare options available, both costing around £5 per hour (see flyer below for further details). If you would like to enquire about a place for your child at either of these clubs, please contact the School Office.
We also have Holiday Clubs. Information about Holiday Clubs will be given to all children in the nursery and primary school in the lead up to school holidays. Holiday clubs run from 8.30am – 5pm and cost £24.50 per day or children can attend for a half-day session (8.30am – 12.30pm or 1pm-5pm) for £14 per day; there is a 10% discount for siblings. Collection must be prompt from sessions. If children who are staying for a full day, they must bring a packed lunch and a bottle of water as we do not have catering on site during the holidays.
