Admission to Malin Bridge Primary
Often, because our admission number is 75 children per year, we can accommodate all of the children who would like to come to Malin Bridge Primary School.
Where the Admissions Authority receives more applications than there are places at a school, however, it has a criteria for prioritising the applications to determine which applicants will be eligible for a school place.
More information can be found on the Admissions page of our website.
Charging Policy
Under the terms of the Education Reform Act 1988, schools are not allowed to charge for activities offered to pupils during the school day, though the school may ask for voluntary contributions.
If your child’s class is involved in an educational visit, parents will be asked if they are prepared to make a voluntary contribution. It will be made clear whether the visit is dependent upon voluntary contributions being made.
If the visit takes place, all children in the class will go, whether or not the parents have made a voluntary contribution.
Ways to Pay
You can pay for school meals, trips, clubs and any other expenses via our online payment system, Parentmail PMX. If you need help with your account, please contact the school office by email, telephone or in person. Our contact details are:

School Uniform
We believe that having a uniform removes the distractions that come from children wearing different types of clothes, makes decisions about what to wear more straight forward for everyone and re-enforces the sense of purpose that every school needs.
We want to stress that being ‘in school uniform’ does not require clothing which contains a school logo, however it is available if you would like your child to wear it. Our school uniform is now also available to purchase online directly from our suppliers, LOGO Leisurewear.
Many supermarkets now offer high quality school uniform clothing too, which is you may find more affordable. Please follow these links to see what is available online:
If you would like to order school uniform items with our logo on, please use the following forms or visit the LOGO Leisurewear website.

Request for Exceptional Term Time Leave
We strongly recommend that parents and carers do not take children out of school in term time as this can have an impact on their progress and achievement. If you wish to request term time leave, download or request and complete a Leave in Term Time Request Form. One form needs to be completed per child at least twenty school days in advance of any leave.
To find out more about term time leave you may wish to visit the School Policies page to view the full policy.
ParentMail Form
Please register for ParentMail if you haven’t already to receive communication and to complete permissions electronically.
